The following documents are required to import goods into Uruguay: bill of lading, cargo release order, certificate of origin, commercial invoice, customs import declaration, packing list, single customs documents, tax certificate, technical standard/ health certificate, terminal handling receipts.

All labels are required to be written in Spanish and must include the following information: main ingredients, country of origin, expiration date, net weight, full name and address of the Uruguayan importer as well as some additional requirements for food product labels.
