Free Trade Zones
The Location for the Bonded Zone was appointed with an area of 173 Hectares at Cakung which was formerly warehouse location of PT Sasana Bhanda, and 8 Hectares at Tanjung Priok which was formerly owned by Bonded Warehouse Indonesia and managed by PT (Persero) Kawasan Berikat Nusantara.

For further development, particularly to anticipate industrial expansion and use of land plots, the PP No. 31 of the year 1990 was issued to add an area in Marunda of 410 Hectares to the Kawasan Berikat Nusantara authorized area.

In addition, since 1995, PT Kawasan Berikat Nusantara has been authorized to manage the all Bonded Zones whose land plots owned by private/ provincial companies throughout Indonesia. Currently KBN manages 8 Private Bonded Zones nationwide, not to mention its fully-owned 3 Bonded Zones in Jakarta.
